Aussie Curves | Boots

I'm so excited about this new challenge! Aussie Curves is the brain child of the super talented and gorgeous Danimezza, who can rock a plus size outfit like nobody's business.  The way she puts together her outfits, and showcases them in her photographs is just amazing.  Each week, Dani will be setting a theme for us plus sized girls to get dressed up, share our outfits, and embrace our curves. Of course I want to play along!!
The first!  I love my boots. They are so comfortable, and so versatile.  They hit the perfect spot, just below my knee, and I look forward to the colder weather when I can slip them on.  I bought this dress during summer, and I can only fit into it now, thanks to losing a bit of weight.  I love the pops of yellow against the black...which I've mimicked in my accessories.
As an extra extra lovely girl, it can be really difficult to find wide calf boots that fit...and are reasonably priced! I searched high and low to find my boots.  My budget was minuscule at the time, so a trip to the Rivers sales was in order. I found a nice pair with a low wedge heel that would be perfect. The only pair left in my size (isn't that always the way!). Just one problem...they were too narrow for my calves.  On the side is a buckle and strap detail with folded leather, and if I undid that completely, I could pull them up. I was willing to take the risk, so I bought them. I stopped in at the local boot maker on the way home, and he replaced the short strap with a longer one. Problem solved!!
knee high boots: $30.00
new strap =  $20.00
happiness = PRICELESS!!

Next week's challenge is "Bold Nails". I might have to practice all week...I'm terrible at painting my nails. If you're a size 14+ and live in Australia or New Zealand, come and play along.  Looking forward to seeing your outfits...oh, and if you have any tips for taking fashion photos, let me know!
