Layout to share...

This week I have been super busy! A trip to Sydney for Sharepoint training (very interesting, but a lot of dry content iykwim), audits to complete yada yada yada...didn't leave much time for play! lol. Tonight that all changes...off to the midnight crop at Scrapbooking Delights! Love catching up with the girls. Here's a layout I created at the last crop night, featuring the gorgeous Ella Jean Griffin at her christening. She's so adorable and growing up way too fast! Cherish those baby moments Rach.
Papers and embellies by American Crafts. Love that fabric paper!

Aunty update: still no baby. boo. Poor Beth is so frustrated! I don't blame her. I remember what the waiting game is like. Beth's asked me to come into the birthing unit with her and Edi! I can't wait to experience childbirth from a non-labouring point of view. lol. It can't be too much longer...

Cheers, Lis.

Layout to share...

Just because this paper was pretty and purple and yellow...I had to create something! I seriously love Bo Bunny's double dot papers and the Sun Kissed collection, and that purple matched Eme's new boots perfectly. lol. She wears them with absolutely everything...surprisingly versatile purple boots. Who knew?
I've put a glaze over the sticker letters to make them nice and glossy too.
On the home front...still no bubba, so I'm not an Aunty yet. I'm about to go away for work for a couple of days, and no doubt bubs will make an appearance then. I can't wait to meet him or her!!

Cheers, Lis.

Pebbles Inc...Mix and Match

Yesterday on the Pebbles Inc blog was Mix and Match Monday! The great thing about the Pebbles Inc collections is that they coordinate so beautifully together.  For my layout I have combined four collections...Tree House, Twitterpated, May Bouquet and So Tweet.  The common colours between the elements were yellow and chocolate brown, so I've played that up to create a balanced layout.  One of my favourite Pebbles products is the new journaling spot stickers, which I have clustered together. I have added rubons to customise them.
Pebbles supplies used: Tree House Word Stickers (732010), Tree House Journaling Stickers (732011), Tree House Sunset (751029), Tree House Laughter 751025), Twitterpated Cute (751009), Twitterpated Delight (751001), Twitterpated 3x3 Cards (751000), May Bouquet Rub Ons (735001), Sun Yellow Ribbon (744033), Tree House Paper Flowers (741002), So Tweet Stickers (50907), So Tweet Chirp (50903), Candy Dots Red (744203).  Other supplies used: Letters (American Crafts), Pen (American Crafts).

These photos were taken on our holiday to Merry Beach in January. The great thing about a holiday park is that the kids can go crazy riding bikes and scooters without the fear of being run over! They loved scooting up and down past our cabin, and down to the lake to feed the ducks.  Good times. We can't wait to go back there after Christmas.

I hope you're having a great week! Hopefully my next post will be an announcement of the "Aunty" variety. I can't wait to meet my new neice or nephew!!

Cheers, Lis.

Inspired Blueprints #52

Sketch #52 has been revealed on the Inspired Blueprints blog...and here 'tis!
I love the simplicity of this sketch. You could easily change it up and replace the single photo for two 6x4 photos. For my layout, I have used papers by GCD Studios. I just love that big, flocked butterfly!  This photo was taken on Mother's Day this year.  This is the first year that we're all "mums"...my sister (who is due to have her baby any tick of the clock), my mum and me.  Its a very special club we belong to. ;-)

Upload your layouts to the Inspired Blueprints gallery by midnight 31 July 2010 to go into the draw to win a prize from this month's sponsor!

Have a great weekend everyone.
Cheers, Lis.

Layout to share...

I recently came across this photo which was taken by Andrew about 5 years ago. I suffer from a lot of migraines, and this particular day was just one example. I was at home with Seth (2.5) and newborn Eme when one struck. I rang Andrew to come home and look after the children. By the time he got here I was fast asleep on the lounge. Seth, in all of his toddler wisdom, remembered that bandaids made it all better, so he stuck one on my forehead without my knowledge. He also put dinosaurs on my pillow to keep me company. lol. So very, very sweet!

Hope you've all had a great weekend!
Cheers, Lis.

Pebbles Inc reveal...lift yourself!

This week on the Pebbles Inc blog, the team have been challenged to scraplift themselves!  I chose to lift this layout that I originally created using Pebbles Inc's "Lil' Miss" collection.
For my lifted layout, I have used the "Tree House" collection. I just love the bright, vibrant colours! I have created a mirror image of the original, and swapped out the journaling tag for a cluster of journaling stickers. I have also add more punched strips of pattterned paper to add a little more depth.  The common elements between the two layouts are the use of one 6x4 photo, doodling, a flourish, and a sticker title. I loved revisiting my old layout, and think I might file that one away for future use!
Pebbles supplies used: Tree House Bliss (751033), Tree House Fun (751035), Tree House Melody (751030), Tree House Merriment (751028), Tree House View (751027), Tree House Chips (744114), Tree House Word Stickers (732010), Tree House Journaling Stickers (732011), Tree House Paper Flowers (741002), White Glitter Candy Dots (744222), White flower from Chocolate Brown Ribbon Spool (744027)

Other supplies used: Pen (Stampin' Up); Punches (Martha Stewart, Fiskars); Twine

The pic above was taken last Christmas. I always forget to take photos at Christmas...probably because we're too busy unwrapping pressies and gorging ourselves! lol. We were all out the front at the Grandparents place, enjoying the summer sun. Seemed like the perfect time to whip out the camera and snap with one of Seth and his Granny. Love it!

Check out the Pebbles Inc blog to see what the rest of the team have been creating...you'll definitely be inspired! Don't forget...Pebbles Inc currently have a design team call happening!  Find out how you can join the Pebbles team here. They're an absolutely fantastic company to work with! Go for it!!

Cheers, Lis.

Scrapware reveal...Overlays

This week on the Scrapware blog, we're showcasing our range of Overlays. The DT have created some absolutely gorgeous examples using the "Twinchie" overlays...check them out here.

For my layout, I chose to use the Plant Frame, which comes in 12", 8" and 6" squares. I originally wanted to use the largest frame, but decided to go with the smaller one. I have spritzed the frame with lime green and coffee shop glimmermists and turn it to the side to adhere. All papers are by GCD Studios.
The swallow has been spritzed with a blue glimmermist, and the word hope has been coated in black marker and glaze. I have also added Prima flowers to the ends of the reeds.  I love that word...hope...something that I am full of at the moment for the future. My journaling reads "I'm so happy the time has finally come to start living the life I want; the life I've designed. Be positive; believe in myself and I can achieve EVERYTHING!"

Products used: KD10 KDD Plant Frame 6"; CH329 Swallows; WT08 "faith/hope/love" word trio.

Inspired Blueprints #51

Sketch 51 has been revealed on the Inspired Blueprints blog, and I know you all love a multiphoto sketch!  Here 'tis...
Now, sketches are always open to interpretation...and I've interpreted this one a little differently. I have replaced the 6x8 with two 6x4 photos. The two landscape 3x4 photos have been replaced with two journaling tags...and lastly, the portrait 3x4 has become a cluster of stickers and the title. The base of the sketch is still visible, but I've made it my own. Luckily, that's the beauty of Inspired Blueprints sketches! We want you to twist it, turn it, flip it and make it your own.
Once again I've been playing with AC's Dear Lizzy! I just love that colour palette and it seemed perfect to compliment my sister's baby shower photos.  My friend Jenna made the most amazing cake for Beth's party...two tiers of mud cake...caramel and milk chocolate mud...absolutely delicious!

Only a few more weeks to go until I'm an Aunty! I can't wait any longer and I know my sister can't wait any longer either. She's at that very uncomfortable stage. I'm taking her to Ikea tomorrow and I dreamt last night that her water broke in the middle of Ikea! Hopefully that won't happen, but I've asked her to pack a bag just in case. lol.

Hope you've all had a fabulous weekend. I've spent the last two days cleaning, organising, decluttering...and now my bedroom and wardrobe look fantastic! So very very happy!

Thanks for popping by! Lis.

Oh...

PS. To be in the running to win this month's prize from Hydrangea Hippo, make sure you upload your takes of the sketches to the Inspired Blueprints gallery by midnight 31 July 2010.  Cheers!

...and since I can't have a post without a photo...here's a layout I created recently at a retreat I went to. It was created for the 45 minute challenge. Pretty much everything on here is from American Crafts. I love the Dear Lizzy and Botanique collections! The colours are so soft and pretty...and that pop of coral is perfect! I can't wait to see AC's CHA releases for Summer!
This photo was taken last October at my Mum's 60th birthday party, but I've used it to document my parents 41st wedding anniversary last month. Don't they make a cute couple!

Cheers, Lis.
