It just occurred to me that I haven't shared some of the Scrapware layouts I created for SIA! So here's the ones I can share. The others have been picked up for publication already.
First up, I have used the new retro dolls designed by Naomi Cox. How seriously cute are these?! They seem really folksy and perfect for a little girl layout. Product code: Retro Dolls NC01; Mini Antique Lowercase AZ10.
The photo on the layout below was taken on Eme's first birthday, when she was given her very first "baby". Oh, she loved that doll! Look at the kiss she's giving her...so sweet. The chipboard dolls, and alphabet have been coloured in with markers, and coated with a glaze.
Next up...here's one of my designs...the notepad! I have painted the notepad white, and added red lines for journaling. The "rings" have also been painted red with a darker red for a shadow effect. The lettering has been embossed, painted and then glazed. Product codes: Notepad Large LW18; Impact Uppercase Alpha AZ04; Square Button Card BS12.
This photo was taken at the Easter Show this year. Seth was so keen to go on some rides, but he's still not tall enough...poor little chicken!
Last but not least...retro frames and corners. For my layout, I have turned both pieces to suit the photo. I have painted each of the swirls and coated with kindy glitz. Products used: Retro Corner LW27; Retro Rectangle Frame LW29; Wave Border KA16; Impact Lowercase Alphas AZ03.
This photo was taken a couple of years ago at Twin Waters Resort, QLD. The pool was fantastic and had this wading area for the kids. Seth ran around and around...good times.
There you have it...gorgeous Scrapware! Ask your lss to get some in for you today. Oh, and if you're looking for more inspiration...check out the Scrapware blog! This week's theme is "Houses", and the design team have outdone themselves.
Cheers, Lis.

Pebbles Inc reveal...
Yesterday was Sketchy Thursday on the Pebbles Inc blog! Now, you know I love a good sketch, and this one by Liz Qualman is no exception. The challenge was set...see the other takes here.
Here's my take. For my take, I have cropped each of the photos to 4x4 and aligned them in the grid pattern. I have swapped out the journaling for an oversized title. Instead of stitching a circular element onto my layout, I have used a pretty doily. The colours of Pebbles Inc's new May Bouquet collection are so soft and complimented my wedding photos beautifully. This is one sketch I will definitely be filing away for future use.
Pebbles supplies used: May Bouquet Garden Gate (751023), May Bouquet Front Porch (751014), May Bouquet Garden (751015), May Bouquet Journaling Stickers (732007), May Bouquet Chips (744113), May Bouquet Paper Flowers (741001), Front Porch ABC Stickers (732005). Other supplies used: Rhinestones (Sam & Lucy), Alphabet (Craft Fair), doily, buttons, twine, ink
Here's a few closeups...I just love the new May Bouquet flowers...just a little dab of glue, and a button tied with twine to finish off.
Here I have layered the lettering over the top of journaling stickers. The new Pebbles Inc alphabet stickers are such a great size...and I love that grey!
More flowers...love the detail on the petals and leaves.
The photos above were taken just before Andrew and I got married 9 years ago. Dad and I had just pulled up outside the reception venue and were having a quiet word before walking in. I just love those photos!
On a side note...today my Dad is retiring after 49 years! He's been working since he was 14 years old and honestly, I never thought he'd retire. He is one the most hardworking people I know and has been in his current job for over 18 years. I'm so proud of him. Congratulations Dad...enjoy your retirement! I know I'll have plenty of jobs at my place to keep you busy. lol.
Cheers all, Lis.

...time flies...
No, I haven't dropped off the face of the Earth...this time of year is crazy busy for my family. After SIA at the beginning of the month, we've had our 9th wedding anniversary, mother's day and now Seth's birthday! My day to day job has also been very hectic, leaving not much time for anything else. I do have some scrapbooking projects to share later in the week, so stayed tuned...
Last Friday, Seth turned 7! I can't believe it really. It only seems like yesterday that we were bringing him home from the hospital. I remember his birth story so clearly. He was induced at 8.30am on the 20th and didn't make his way into the world until 7.13am on the 21st...and he was 10 days late!! He just didn't want to come out! lol. Real labour was only about 13 hours...but that's a long time for an induction.
Seth's current obsession is Super Mario Bros, and he asked for a Mario cake this year...here 'tis. I think I came up with the goods. My cream coloured shirt is a little worse for wear though, as I put both my boobs in his cake while I was leaning over it icing! d'oh!! lol.
Whilst on holidays in January, Seth tried Chicken Parmigiana for the first time and he loved it! So, naturally he requested it for his birthday dinner. I made it from scratch using Julie Goodwin's recipe and it was a major success...absolutely delicious! I'll be adding that one to our repertoire for sure! We paired the parma' with green beans, asparagus, broccollini and potato gems (another of his favs).
Here's the birthday boy...very pleased with his cake and all of his pressies. He asked for a "white cake" this year...read vanilla.
I always love capturing the "blowing out the candles" shot. Seems a shame to put hours of effort into decorating a cake, only to deface it with candles then hack into with a knife. Oh well...lol.
This year, instead of a birthday party, we took Seth and Eme to Dubbo Zoo (about 6 hours drive from our house). We stayed the weekend at a nice hotel and ate way too much food. The highlight of our zoo visit was hand feeding the giraffes! I have wanted to do that all my life and it was such a thrill. I never realised how big their heads are! One the way home we stopped at Bathurst for a hot lap around Mt Panorama and a tour of the Motor Racing Museum. I love getting away for a family weekend! I'll share some photos after I've edited them down.
Thanks for stopping by...Lis.

Pebbles Inc reveal...Tree House Collection
Pebbles Inc's new collections have been released and this week I've been playing with the new Tree House range! Look at these colours and patterns...so very beautiful, bright and inspiring.
As soon as my box of Pebbles goodness landed on my doorstep, I had to create a layout! This photo of Seth is just priceless and speaks volumes. He can be such a cheeky boy sometimes, and oh so silly. Love that about him. I love the crisp graphics in this collection...they make it just so easy to create boy inspired layouts.
Other supplies used:
Cardstock (American Crafts), Alphabet (American Crafts), Pen (Stampin' Up!), Staples
For such a simple layout, I have managed to use a heap of product! lol. The coordinating Tree House stickers, chips and stackers are the perfect accompaniment. Here I have layered the stickers using foam tape, and attached the transparent stackers using staples along the veins of the leaves. The chip birdie is just too adorable and finished off the cluster perfectly.
Although the stackers are coloured, they are transparent enough to reveal the patterned paper underneath.
There you have it...Pebbles Inc "Tree House". Ask your lss to order some in for you! Check out the Pebbles blog to see what the rest of the DT have been creating using this collection.
tfl, Lis.

Scrapware reveal...SIA wrap up...
So, for those not in the know...SIA is the Scrapbook Industry of Australia tradeshow and this week saw the 3rd annual show take place, and to say I'm exhausted is an understatement! The Scrapware stand was busy the whole time with people loving the make 'n' takes designed by Linda Baldock. Three full days...setting up, showing off our wares, catching up with friends and making new ones...I even managed to scrapbook in the hotel room...it was fabulous!
Here's the Scrapware stand, all set up and ready for the day's trading...from the left...
...and the right. The walls were full of inspirational layouts by the whole Scrapware design team, and the table filled with off the page projects...mini albums, frames, wearable art...you name it!
Our theme for this year was black and red...and since I love to coordinate, I even wore red shoes! lol. I totally love my headband...a bargain find at my local thrift shop.
Ange's mother in law made us the cutest polka dot aprons, Linda created some gorgeous wearable art, and Naomi made name tags for us using my new clipboard design.
Here's the team, all ready for Day One...feeling all nervous and excited...from left to right Gilly Lester, Angela Connolly, me, and Linda Baldock in front.
Just after the doors opened for the day, a massive dragonfly landed on my chest and scared the heck out of me. He must have thought my flowers were real. lol. I took it as a good luck sign.
Scrapware released a huge amount of product at the show, and several of my own designs were included in the collection. You can check out all the new releases in the "What's New" section of the Scrapware website. Here's my new stuff...
I also taught a class using Scrapware's new 12" Circle Frame. It was such a relaxing class...no pressure whatsoever...and plenty of time to work at your own pace. That's how I roll. I hate teaching / going to a class and not walking out with a finished project! Here's some of my class participants beavering away. Thanks Rose-Anne and Mel for posing. lol.
...and here's the finished product! The papers are from Memento's Winter CHA 2010 release. The instructions for the class are available from Scrapware when you purchase the chipboard sheet.
I had a chance to set up a heap of accounts for Storyboard and check out new product...planning loads of future kits in my mind. Everyone I spoke to seemed really interested in my kits. Let's hope that translates to sales once they debut! lol. Anyway...there are plenty more photos on my Facebook page. Check them out!
