more from the retreat...

Once again I've used an abundance of "Thickers" - they're available in Australia - you just have to find them...seriously addicted! Packing my kits for the retreat was a huge eye opener - I could survive without buying another product for years, but where would the fun be in that!! I managed to leave at home a stack of patterned paper that was over a foot high and a major OHS issue; not to mention the tubs (yes, plural) of chipboard alphas! This is no underestimate - I'm sure the other scrappers out there can sympathise - most of us start out as collectors of product (lol).

My kids are such a great source of inspiration and they always ham it up for the camera. Thankfully neither one of them has gone through the silly smile this space though; it's bound to happen eventually!

This last layout needs help, so am willing to take advice from one and all. It just doesn't feel finished to me and I think the flower is bothering me, but I just don't know what to do with it. If you have any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it. If someone comes up with something good, I will be eternally grateful and may just RAK something your way!

Don't forget to leave a message...L.

Hey Lisa,
Your layouts are beautiful. I especially love your 'have a seat' layout with the lovely flower stem all the way up the page. The flower edge on the easter page looks really effective too.
On the last layout, I don't mind the large flower- quite like it actually. But I think maybe since you have 2 roundish elements on the page that you probably need a third. How about a circular embellishment somewhere between the middle and top left of the 1st photo. And here is a radical suggestion- to add a bit more texture to the page maybe you could tear the right hand edge of your photos. And I was surprised to see no thicker heading in the top right corner- could look good too. Jo
