celebrate good times

Very busy weekend ... Friday night we stayed in - the kids went to bed at the usual time (and without fuss, which was nice), then Andrew watched the footy and I spent some time scrapbooking. Completed an entry for the Scrapbook Creations colour experts comp (will post it off today if I get the courage) Update - sent it today at lunch (fingers crossed). Very happy with how it turned out, so either way, I have a very nice page to add to Seth's album ... will share it later.
Cherie's Baby Shower - Saturday we all trekked up to the Shire, dropped the kids and Andrew off at my mum and dad's, then went to my friend Cherie's surprise baby shower at Hazelhurst Cafe. Normally you can't get anything past her, but she didn't see it coming - it wasn't until after that I realised, probably not a good idea to surprise a heavily pregnant woman! Thankfully, she didn't go into labour. Had a lovely lunch sitting in the sun. I made a tin for her full of goodies (left).

Our Anniversary - Saturday night Andrew and I checked into the Four Points by Sheraton to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary. We had dinner at the Corn Exchange Restaurant and ate way too much, then saw Pink at the Entertainment Centre - she was absolutely fantastic!! Would definately go again. She is so incredibly fit - very impressed with her acrobatic skills whilst singing!!
Here's the view from our hotel suite. So beautiful at night overlooking Darling Harbour! There was the most beautiful sunset too, but was too sleepy to capture it. Bummer!

And finally, here's Andrew and I on the balcony after the concert - very smiley! I think I was still pumped after the concert - and very deaf.

Mother's Day - Andrew and I had brekky at "Cafe Chianti" in the city (yummo), then caught the train back to the Shire. Was very anxious to get back to the kids who slept over at mum & dad's (thank you) - missed them Sunday morning in our bed. Even though it was a king size bed, I slept on the edge with my feet hanging off!! Morning tea at my mum & dad's, then afternoon tea at Andrew's mum & dad's. The kids made lovely gifts for me - a butterfly necklace on a leather thread from Sethy and handprints and poem from Eme. Feel like an official mum now that I have a handmade necklace! I wore it proudly all day! Seth was very impressed with himself and had to unwrap it for me.

Basically we just spent the weekend celebrating and eating and I know I will pay for it this week! But, boy it was good!!!

Great weekend was had by all. Dad was asleep on the lounge on Saturday after you left. Eme took a running start and ran up to your father and hit his chest with both hands. He was fast asleep, she thought it was a joke. Your father enjoyed it though. Loved looking after the kids, they were no trouble at all. You both look fantastic in that photo.
