busy busy busy ...

We have all been super busy this last week. There seems to be something on every weekend and the weeknights fly by in a blur. I'm sure many people can sympathise. Last Sunday Andrew and I headed off in separate directions. Andrew took Seth to the Parramatta Stadium to watch their beloved Eels play the Bulldogs ... much to their dismay, the Eels lost 18-21. Seth however looked super cute dressed in his Eels supporters gear and was well behaved the whole time. He was so excited to tell me that he shook Sparky's hand (the Eels mascot). I took Eme to Shelley Park to catch up with my school friends Cherie, Belinda and Melani, and to meet Melani's daughter Amelie (10 weeks old). Shelley Park is great for the kids and Eme had a fantastic time on the slippery dip - I lost count of how many times she slide down and climbed back up the wall. Unfortunately I didn't take any photos of Amelie - it started to pour just as I got my camera out and we had to run to the car. We all went back to Belle's house to chat some more. We don't find that much time throughout the year to get together, so we make the most of it each time. Belinda's daughter Estelle (Stella) is growing so quickly (17 mths) and is so much like her daddy Mark. She was such a good girl sharing her toys with Eme. My friend Cherie is currently 33 weeks pregnant and has such a cute pregnant belly. Eme was so impressed - she kept cuddling Cherie and poking her belly. Straight after this photo was taken, she laid down on Cherie, but I wasn't quick enough to capture it.
Today is Anzac Day and we usually start the day watching the parade on tv waiting for Andrew's grandfather's battalion (9th Division 2/2 Machine Gunners) to come through. This year Andrew's cousin Justin marched in pop's place because he's just not up to it anymore. We caught a glimpse of Jussy just under their flag. Maybe next year we'll take the kids into the city to watch in person - but it always rains and it is such a long day. We had a family lunch at Andrew's parents house to wish Katy and Steve a safe trip. They're moving to Townsville QLD on Saturday. Will be very odd to say goodbye ...

Love reading your blogs, you have a marvellous way with words. Eme could probably talk to Cherie's bub you know, some kids are psychic that way. I think Cherie is having a girl, hope all goes well for her. Loved seeing Seth in his footy gear same as his Dad. Great bonding time for them and for you and Eme. Love Mum
